Harpal Kochar: Software Architect | Salesforce | Shreya’s Dad
In 2016, I attended a semester-long class at Stanford on college admissions planning, taught by an ex-dean of Stanford Admissions. I uniquely saw the process from the eyes of the elite colleges. I’ll share my journey with you, how Shreya and I teamed up, drove each other crazy at times. We interviewed several counselors before choosing one. We flew/drove to 20+ schools, interviewed with 16-admissions teams. We learned a lot that you can learn. Outside of work, I am a lifelong runner. I race 2-3 marathons every year.
I seek newer experiences, perspectives that help create a new person out of me. I observe myself change and grow by the day and that new "me" is what I seek with a vengeance.
First Ironman Triathlon 2012
I am an Ironman! Grit is my middle name. Patience, self-belief, preparation and focus define my core.
My journey to accomplishing the Ironman title (140.6-mile swim-bike-run race) is chronicled HERE. That's my story.. one of grit, fight, sustenance, challenging the status quo and of breaking the glass ceiling.
